My board is based on a fictional railway set in a real place (Leicestershire). As for the time period i’m planning on having it set in the late 60s, allowing me to use a wide range of rolling stock (Steam and Diesel).
To make track laying easier i’m planning on using Kato Unitrack for my board. With that in mind I have designed a track plan.

The majority of the loop will be temporary track and will not be extensively modelled. However the main station area will be modelled on an actual baseboard to allow it to be used as a stand alone layout when I don’t want continuous running.

I’ve played a few games with the Rogue Traders… and lost them all spectacularly…
So i’ve decided to make my Rogue Traders part of a larger Imperial Force – Battlegroup Omega. Okay this means I cannot include my Tau allies but in return I get access to Imperial Navy warships and vessels of the Adeptus Astartes, wahoo!

My Rogue Trader has a lot of contacts, his noble family have managed to obtain a pre heresy Carnage class cruiser. It was found in a starship graveyard and quickly refitted to escort the many freighters the rogue trader has.

Here are some freighters that I painted up to use in my rogue trader fleet, since forgeworld freighters are so expensive I decided to use Firestorm Armada frigates.

I’ve started this blog to share my Battlefleet Gothic experiences with the community. Around 8 years ago I purchased the Battlefleet Gothic starter set whilst on holiday. Sitting in a camper van constructing starships meant that when I got a chance to play I discovered that some of the ships I had made were not very good.

So here I am, 8 years later and just getting back into BFG. I’ve played a lot of GW games over the years including Warhammer Fantasy (Vampires, Dwarfs, Empire, Skaven), Warhammer 40,000 (Space Marines, Imperial Guard, Orks, Daemonhunters, Daemons, Chaos Space Marines), Lord of the Rings, Necromunda and Mordheim. Sadly university put a stop to most of these games. However i’m now trying to find time for BFG, and hope to construct an Imperial Fleet.

I spotted this on eBay and couldn’t resist, especially seeing as you can’t buy them anywhere any more, and this livery is even rarer than the blue one.

Apparently it’s in great conditon and runs well. Looks like its time to get looking for some more carriages!
